Leave a copy of email on server in Outlook Express
Posted by support team admin on 02 Jul 2009 2:11 PM
If you are planning to receive email on two different computers or devices, you will want to set both of them to leave a copy of the emails on the server.

Open Outlook Express, click on Tools and choose Accounts.

Select the Mail tab, choose your email account from the list, and click on Properties.

Select the Advanced tab on top and check the box to "Leave a copy of messages on server.

Since, all your email will stay on the server, your inbox will be at risk of becoming full.
To avoid this problem, make sure you either set your emails to be Removed after any number of days or Remove email from server when an email is deleted from your Deleted Items folder.. or you can have both options turned on.

Notes: Please set the number of days to reflect how long it would take you on average to check your new email and add a couple of days to that number just to be safe. In the begiinning it is recommended you set it to a big number like 20 days, but if you notice your inbox reaching it's size limit, you might want to decrease this number.
