Q: How do I set up my iPhone to connect to Exchange?

To set up your iPhone to connect to your Exchange account:

  1. Go to Settings on your iPhone, then click Passwords & Accounts
  2. Click "Add Account" under the Accounts list
  3. Click Exchange
  4. Under the next screen, enter:
    1. Email: your e-mail address
    2. Description: this is at your discretion - pick a name you will recognize (such as "Smartt Exchange")
    3. Click Next
  5. When prompted "Sign into your 'domain' Exchange account using Microsoft?", click "Configure Manually"
  6. Enter your password where prompted, then click Next.  The phone will try to verify your account, then prompt for additional information.
    Enter in the following information:
    1. Server: exch01.smartt.com
    2. Domain: leave blank
    3. Username: your full e-mail address
    4. Click Next
  7. At the next screen, select the features you want to sync with your phone (Mail, Contacts, etc) and click Save.

At this point, you will be returned to the Passwords & Accounts screen, and you are completed!  Your phone will take some time to completely synchronize all messages, so please be patient.

Note: If you have an existing Exchange account added on your iPhone, you must first remove the account and then re-add it back using the new server settings. 

To remove an account:

  1. Go to Settings on your iPhone, then click Passwords & Accounts
  2. Click on your Exchange account under 'ACCOUNTS'.
  3. Click "Delete Account".
