A: An Extended LAN or shared fiber connection is a point to point fiber connection to SmarttNet which is shared by several tenants in the same building. As a result of sharing the same fiber, customers significantly reduce their startup and monthly costs without sacrificing security or bandwidth throughput capability. Your data is not shared with other users, but simply travels along the same set of cables.
