Inbound Marketing on the Rise, says HubSpot Report
HubSpot released its 2013 State of Inbound Marketing Report today. The largest edition to date, it surveyed 3,339 respondents from 128 countries to provide an in-depth look into the strengths and challenges of brands' inbound marketing efforts. HubSpot has listed 10 takeaways from the report on their website, indicating that inbound marketing is on the rise and delivers measurable ROI, but must be integrated with other departments and with overall company goals to be truly effective.
Inbound marketing is key to digital engagement with customers and prospects. Unlike traditional marketing, digital is a two-way communication and brands must give consumers a reason to want interact with them. A good inbound marketing strategy will include blog posts, social media, and other useful content to attract visitors as well as responsive sales and customer service teams to engage with customer needs. As mentioned in HubSpot's study, inbound marketing should serve the underlying goals of the company and inbound efforts should be integrated with broader initiatives and projects to drive measurable business results.
