Recap of 2014 BCAMA Vision Conference
BCAMA yesterday held its 2014 Vision conference. The event brought together local marketing professionals from an array of organizations such as Invoke Media, Canadian Cancer Society, and Ipsos. It gave attendees an opportunity to learn about IBM’s innovative cognitive technology, Watson, and how gamification can improve customer engagement. In addition, Vision gave attendees a fantastic opportunity to see old pals, meet professionals from other digital marketing agencies, and most importantly, have a fabulous time.
We were honored to be a part of such a remarkable event and listen to presentations from established, experienced marketers at Songza, Oracle, and Proctor and Gamble. Moreover, we had a wonderful chance to learn more about subjects such as experiential marketing and social media (i.e. social media metrics we should measure) from other marketers during LOUDTables, a two hour activity where attendees go to various stations to learn about different topics (i.e. experiential marketing).
Since a picture is worth a thousand words and we don’t want to write a thousand words, here are our snapshots from the event:
(Attendees sat quietly and listened intently, as you can tell.)
(Exhibitors such as Business in Vancouver, Smart Savvy, and Ipsos interacted with attendees and showcased their latest offerings.)
(Fireworks, a global experiential marketing agency, talked about how to develop experiential marketing programs during LOUDTables.)
(Red Bull girls gave us wings.)
(It’s not a real marketing conference unless there’s a candy truck.)
(Students at BCIT Marketing Association encouraged attendees to “come play and paint.” Sadly, we didn’t paint.)
(Freebies from BCAMA, BC Business, and Herschel Supply Co. Thanks!)
(Ray Wang [me!], our Marketing Coordinator, posed in front of BCAMA’s booth. Thankfully, it’s not a #selfie.)
This completes our recap of Vision 2014. We hope everyone enjoyed the event as much as we did and we look very forward to next year’s conference!
